SOOOOO - I have already tanned so drastically from being outside that my foundation isn't going to match anymore, but my concealer & foundations are all pretty full. I don't want to buy another. what's the trick to making it work? loads of bronzer?

If you have good skin I would just skip wearing it, wearing too much bronzer to make it darker can look cakey, you may have to bite the bullet and buy a shade that matches you now don't spend too much on it, loreal true match lumi and revlon color stay are good and inexpensive. You can use your lighter ones as highlighter in the meantime

There really isn't a trick for this. You will probably just need to buy your foundation in your present color and save your lighter color for winter. Check out getting a BB cream or tinted moisturizer for the summer.

@Brittany- I was worried too much bronzer would be cakey too.

If you are using a powder and liquid foundation I would stick with the powder so that you can use a light hand but still have a solid application. If you only have liquid I suggest using a stippling brush very lightly and make sure you blend it all the way down to your chest if your chest is showing.

Coastal scents sells a black liquid that will darken your foundation as much as you need. Try it out.

Benifit has a Tanitude product that you can mix into your foundation to deepen the color, or it can be worn alone.. I think it is $18-22ish...

I ve always bought a super dark shade, in a range that fits your base tone...that way, if youve slightly tanned, or tanned ALOT, youll have a dark shade to add to your existing foundation...kinda like adding cream to coffee...;)

Can you take a picture of your tan so I can match you with a shade?
