I have so much trouble putting eyeliner on the top because it moves my eyelashes which makes me blink then the eyeliner goes everywhere. Is there something I'm doing wrong or does it just take practice and getting used to?

It just takes practice, maybe start with an eyeliner brush its much easier. Or try pencil eyeliner, because liquid is definitely the hardest to master. :)

Sounds like you just need to practice. What are you using to apply the liner with pencil, gel, or liquid?

I've tried both pencil and liquid.

Maybe try a gel liner with a brush. Maybelline has a good one but I would purchase different brush than the one it comes with.

Try eyeliner pens, they are much easier to grip and give better control. But it does take lots of practice and you'll get the hang of it :)

Something that really helped me was using a soft pencil like Kohl that allowed me to be gentle with with my strokes but still put color on the skin. That way you don't have to push so hard to create a line and it may also help you flinch less.
Happy practicing!

It could also be the angel you are holding it at, make sure you are coming from above. Also you could try pulling your eyelid (with your eye still closed), it will angel your lashes down more helping you to get closer to the lash line easier. Hope the advice you are getting helps, sweetie.

I usually start in the middle, then work my way in.

I do short and light strokes until I get the thickness I want.
