Accidentally deleted my comment.
I haven't seen many, or really any, dreadlocked beauties around. Where are you all hiding?!
Please, before throwing any unnecessary hateful, rude, unjustified, and generally ignorant comments around about dreadlocks or the people who have them, properly educate yourself on the subject. Nine times out of ten, the negative things you've heard about dreadlocks are false.

Well...I've always wanted dreads, so I make synthetic ones. I have commitment issues with hair lol. I'm always changing it. But I LOVE dreads! It gives off a totally different yet still equally beautiful vibe

I wouldn't do it myself, but I love how it looks! I have a lot of friends with dreads. I hate when people don't research them properly before getting them though...

Andrea: I completely agree with the whole research thing. Some people make dreadlocks more complicated than they need to be. I figure the more uniform and "cleaned up", the more maintenance they require. If they're created with a good solid method, such as twist and rip (which creates more solid knots, in my opinion), and separated every time they're washed, they're not difficult to take care of.
Mine are freakishly loopy but I don't mind.

I'm too scared to dread my actual hair because I've just got it looking the way I like it, but I was thinking about dreading some of my extensions.

I noticed that there weren't alot of topics about dreadlocs on here, but I'm guessing that the natural ladies are out there.... I've had mine for a year and a few months ( just mine no extensions) how long have you had yours?
