Buy pepper nail polish and apply it around your nail and the skin around it, then when you bite it it'll be spicy and remind you not to

I have the exact same problem. It's been a habit for about 8 years. :/

I do that too! If I keep my nails pretty I tend to stay away but sometimes it just happens.

Even if the normal formula to stop nail bitin will work for you. I used to bite my nails in highschool and got that stuff (I forgot what it's called but it was in a nail polish container, was green, and really liquidy) and it was so disgusting that I haven't put my nails to my mouth since (almost 6 years). It would work for you because it doesn't just stay on your nails, the taste gets all over your fingers and your hands (and also basically anything you touch). It's unbearable, but it worked for me after one try.

I don't bite it, I pull at it. My solution was to look at pictures of people who did or do that. It shocked me so much that I stopped. I only did it when I was nervous so recognizing that behavior helped me.

Think of all the bacteria you are placing in your mouth. That might help. You can also spray your nails (or roll on) with "Apple Bitter"; it's used to discourage pets from chewing and is natural. Trust me.. it tastes dreadful!

I have the same problem and how I usually stop is getting my nails done and having gel nails on so it's hard to reach around my nails because I got the pepper nail polish stuff and it didn't work

I used to for the last ten years but one day I just managed to stop..the biting cream never worked and neither did anything else I'd tried everything but I realised it was a form of ocd and anciety so I tried to just focus on not doing it when I became stressed or nervous and ut worked as now my nails are really long.
