As to where to find them there should be a ton of places but I don't think your height should be an issue. I think petite girls can pull off anything and look super cute! I am 5'10 and I wish wish wish I was short lol. So if nothing fits you can always have it tailored for you. So good luck pretty girl ;)

I'm the same height & target dresses usually fit me right above the ground. I recommend trying on first to be sure :)

I'm 4'11 and when I look at maxi dresses they're taller then me! So what I usually do is get a hi-lo dress or skirt and wear heels or kinda roll the skirt up a little(:

I find that the ones from modcloth are just the right length for me and I'm 5'1 as well! I also have one from charlotte russe that shrunk so much after the original wash that it went from waaay too long to just right. I think the strapless ones are easier to find in short lengths because you don't have to worry about strap proportions.

Look in the petite section at some stores... I've found a few maxi dresses that were cute from time to time but getting one hemmed would be cheap enough too!

I am 5' and can only buy dresses from petite section. I want a maxi dress too but all are too long so far... :(
