I use blogspot and my mother uses wordpress. I know, that most beauty, fashion, designers, etc. use blog spot and it is definately an easier way to wedge yourself into the blogging community (for what it seems like you want to blog about) using a blogspot. Also, blogspot offers you the chance to get your own domain name and offers adsense. I'm not 100% on Wordpress but as a blogspot girl that is definately what I would recommend!
I hope that helps!

Also, keep in mind that you cannot advertise on wordpress.com, only wordpress.org (paid). Whereas, with blogspot/blogger, you are allowed to advertise without paying or hosting your own domain. :) xo I have both wordpress and blogspot...but use blogspot for my homeremedies, and my wordpress for more techy stuff (like mobile app reviews)...wordpress is definitely a more advanced platform requiring more patience but once you get over the learning curve, it's amazinG!...so I just picked by what I wanted to get most out of it.

Wordpress is great, but I just feel that people with blogspot connect so MUCH easier and you automatically get adsense on it... BUT i think they have some clause about owning your content in ther TOS. Does your husband strictly specialize in mobile apps? i'd love some advice about making apps or getting help with developing one... i'm so new to the tech world lol

Hello, I use Blogger because I've heard that it's easier to use but you might not get so many subbies by using it... :/ Anyway, you can try it and then see if you like it or not! :)
