I have heavy eyelids and want to know the best way to apply eyeshadow?

Hey Melanie! I have a friend who also has heavy eyelids and many clients who do as well and they ask me how they can apply eyeshadow to make their eyes appear more "open" or otherwise they ask how they can apply it so that the shadow is more visible. Well girlfriend, I have your solution :) I recommend using a lighter color on your entire lid and applying your highlight color generously in the inner corner of your eyes and bringing that highlight further into your lid (almost half way ). The next step is to create an illusion that makes it look like your crease is higher up. Use a medium shade with a crease brush above the lid color and then the darkest color into the medium shade to create the illusion of your Lid having a defined crease. That is, if that's what you would prefer :) I personally think ladies with heavier lids are quie beautiful :) hope I helped. I will post a pic of a how to :)

Oh! Ps. Avoid applying a highlight shade that is very light or shimmery below your brow. Doing that only makes your heavier lid stand out! So if you use a highlight below the brown go for a matte creamy color or something more subtle :)
