I think that if your confident in your body and feel good wearing a bikini why not? It makes you feel good and sexy :) but I agree with the bra straps!

I agree with you, but I still believe that some women haven't helped much. In Hollywood, you see girls wearing close to nothing and sexualizing their body.

I don't understand why everyone keeps bringing men into this. was the question not our personal opinions? as a woman how does it hurt you if another woman is seeking a mans attention anyway? how does this change your life? it doesn't. I do not at all believe women dress for men more than they do for other women. I much rather have a compliment from my girlfriend than a guys attention and in my opinion I would think most women are like that. I get much more attention from men when I have jeans on, should I not wear jeans? I believe some of you ladies would sleep better at night if you concerned yourself with making yourself happy and not what other people think of your clothing choices. I do think looks matter, I'd be stupid to suggest otherwise but I believe your looks should make you happy and no one else. feel good being yourself and focus on yourself if you feel it so necessary to put down others. and I mean that to both sides of the fence. if youre happy covering up, great, if you work hard on your body and want to show it, fantastic. because at the end of the day you should be happy with yourself. and if women like a mans attention how is that bad? why does that hurt anyone?

I love sexier clothes even though I'm pretty traditional when it comes to a lot of things. I'm not a slut because I choose to wear short shorts or skirts and half skirts I love to rock a bikini, I'm a few months away from being married and my fiancé doesn't mind the way I dress. I don't put it out there and act like a whore because I like skimpier clothes also I'm from the south and its so fucking hot here you really don't want to be wearing to many clothes. I don't worry about what other women are wearing unless there breasts or ass is completely hanging out right in front of my man.

If you got it flaunt it :) whatever makes you feel good.

Modesty does not equate goodness in a person. I know some really mean nuns! The funniest posts are the ones implying MMA fighters are somehow incapable of insecurity and suggesting you should choose your clothing based on your relationship status. *tee hee hee*

I just feel like misogyny is playing a big role in this conversation. And I say these things as someone who wears jeans and cardigans in the middle of summer. Modesty is not the end all be all, and holding those who are "modest" on a pedestal is wrong. Women are going to be treated like slabs of meat to hungry lions no matter what, so why even bother with the "advertising your body" argument.

I agree with Beth. After all I believe, we really dress for woman. And I'm pretty confident with myself and would encourage women to do the same. Flaunt it!! No need to hate on someone who would rather show a little.

You're completely missing the point Rozberry J.

Rozberry if you actually read the entire thread you would see that others were assuming my husband is insecure because I, REPEAT, I have chosen to cover up more of myself out of respect for him and our marriage. I stated that he fights to prove the point that before you make assumptions about someone's insecurities know the facts. He has no reason to be insecure he just doesn't want other men looking at me like I'm a sex toy and that shows me he truly loves me and cares for my wellbeing. I'm not saying every married woman needs to do that. its MY decision and it offends me that you and others would assume such a thing.

I read the entire thread. No need to repeat yourself. You should go full burqa and really show your lil champ just how much you care. Psst...I never assumed he was insecure, but instead stated that citing he's an MMA fighter as a reason he wasn't insecure was hilarious. As for offending you..boo hoo.

Bridgette. you reminded me of the funny quote "women don't dress for men, they dress for other women. if women dressed for men they wouldn't dress at all!"

I don't see why you need to be so rude Rozberry. if you feel the need to belittle others on here you really shouldn't join the conversation at all. especially when using childish argumentative tactics. please respond like a mature adult.

Using demeaning references like 'lil champ' and the mocking is indeed belittling. I don't want to argue with you though but it's really uncalled for. I would never say things like that about someone else's significant other

Kinda like calling someone rude and childish? This thread is chock full of judgments disguised as "opinions". Granted, people are entitled to voice their thoughts...as absurd as some of them may appear.

Some modesty can be a disguise. I know girls who where jeans and tshirts in 80 degree weather and they take it off just as easily as someone wearing short shorts and half a shirt.

I know people who wear short shorts and half a shirt that arent whores. its all how you carry yourself ladies. shes confident, and likes how it looks on her; yet shes a 27 year old serious virgin because she doesn't think that any guy that only wants her body is not worthy of her flower.
