In today's society, when it comes to fashion it seems like less is more. Do you agree? what are your views on modesty, good or bad?...and please, no criticizing other's beliefs.
My views are nothing too extreme. I don't think its appropriate for bra straps or any type of under garmet to be visible. the midriff should always be covered and I'm a firm believer in the finger tip rule when it comes to short bottoms/dresses. I've also recently decided to stop wearing bikinis as well

I agree with you on all that kenzie..I don't want to see everybodys stuff hanging out..but I don't think I could stop wearing bikinis :)

I think the same thing about bras and fingertip rule for shorts we have that rule

I honestly don't think we should judge other people on their "modesty" and try to police what they wear. Bra straps and exposed stomachs aren't offensive. Define modesty for your own style and leave everyone else alone.

The reason I've decided to stop wearing bikinis is because I'm married and I have a baby girl. I want to show my husband that I respect him as my partner and I don't want other men looking at me like that now that I'm no longer single. I also want to set a good example for my daughter.

I agree some what. If going to wear a skirt that might be a little revealing or windy out then I wear stockings. So I don't really care a out the if get rule. As of bra straps showing I agree that looks tacky on ladies and you should wear a bra according to what blouse your wearing. I don't care if girls want to show off their tummies if you got it flaunt it I just don't do it. I don't knock no persons style.

Modesty is an honorable thing. It shows that you have grace, and that anyone can be beautiful without needing to have their parts displayed. Good people are modest because they have good intetions. Not being modest is really just showing off and being seductive. You have to make people understand that the only way to be attractive is to show off your body. The best way to see true beauty is in who people really are. If you're modest, it means you are just as beautiful inside as on the outside. That's what really matters.

Alethia that's your opinion you can't really say that just because a girl shows off some things she is not bro g modest that's judging. I wear shorts skirts dresses that show things but are still presentable

If ppl wanna b modest that's them and I respect that but I don't care if someone show off and dnt like the finger tip rule.. But I think ppl can show off a little and some will just walk around like they just came from the strip club.. But I understand what you saying.

I think everyone is going to have a different opinion on this...I simply don't agree that 'Good people are modest'...That is so silly...Everyone should be able to wear whatever they are comfortable in...Personally I dress safe for work n showing bra straps is just not my thing but I love wearing a bikini or a sexy dress at times...My husband loves it too n is too secure to have any issues with it...I would never judge anyone on how modest their clothing style is...but that is just my opinion about it..

I don't mind any of it at all. I know what I want to wear, and let everyone do the same.

Being a little revealing doesn't make you a slut, and being modest doesn't make you a classy hero. I think people should accept the fact that everyone is allowed to choose their own level of modesty, and no one has the right to judge.

For me, I've just never felt comfortable showing a lot of skin. my mother was awesome at letting me experiment with fashion. she never set any limits because she knew I'm naturally more modest. however, when I see others in revealing clothing I don't think they're trashy or no good. some women who wear that type of clothing because it genuinely makes them happy and that's fine :)

I agree with Nehal. ^^
My hubby loves when I throw on a sexy outfit once in awhile. He's secure and I dress for him and myself and try not to worry what others think. No one has a right to judge others... to each its own. :-)

I know for many people being modest has to do with their spiritual beliefs. it's a very personal thing between them and their higher power. I also know many women who feel liberated and beautiful in a sexy cockail dress or a bright bikini. both are based on very personal values and both should be respected.

Don't get me wrong gals my man loves a lbd on me :) he loves it when I wear dresses but like I said, I don't want the attention from other men. I know my hubby can handle himself. as long as the dress follows my personal guidlines were both happy.

Kenzie I really agree with you, and I think that the fact that you stopped wearing bikinis for your husband is sweet, doesn't mean he's insecure..

Thanks Tal :) believe me, I don't think an MMA fighter has anything to be insecure about lol.

I like everything you've said Kenzie.
I have always been very modest as well, to the point of being called the shroud by my grandmother lol I think that there's an appropriate amount for how little should be worn, and also times and places for different things. A bikini top and daisy dukes to the store when you're not just running in after being at a swimming spot? Why?
Mostly I don't care. If girls wanna wear a tight tanktop or short dress, fine. As long as all your parts are covered and you aren't actively trying to draw attention to your body in a seductive manner, go ahead. :)
