Haha well we don't know what your dad likes, I'm sure you know him best..
If youre willing to spend $$$ then maybe get a watch, gift card to his fav clothing/hardware store? Or take him out to dinner/lunch :)

I had the same problem trying to figure out what to get him for father's day...I made him a pie, he was really happy. Maybe you could bake or cook him something special.

Does he have any hobbies?

Sherry is right...a hobby..a collection of sorts... things you know he loves...these are where you will find inspiration! Put the same detail and research into the gift and presentation that you would want for yourself. My dad's favorite cake was apricot upside down and so we always made him that and one of his favorite meals. Then...we would clean up...let him relax while we took care of all the little things that get overlooked when Dad gets overwhelmed. Cut grass..pull weeds..wash windows, etc. Sometimes, we'd get him a good mystery novel as he was an avid reader. Really...the day is about reminding him he's loved and special.
