Shave it. That's what me and all my friends do. There's no problem with it. It does not* grow back thicker. Just that's how hair appears to look like because it was cut down. That myth has been busted. Think about the way a tree is. The bottom is thick and gets thinner as the tree gets higher and all that. Well you cut the tree and the stump is there looking really thick. That's how the hair is. So people say the hair is thicker. That's just how it appears because it doesn't have the natural thinned out part at the end since you've cut/shaved it.

It does come back but like leg hair, the more times you have to shave it, it won't grow back in at all.

I just waxed it of with a wax strip. I'm pretty sensitive but it really didn't hurt too much and the best thing is that you don't have to worry about it for over 2 months!

I have a tiny patch of darker hair by my belly button as well, and I just shave it weekly along with my bikini area. I've been doing this for years, and it's never grown back thicker or darker (although I can't speak for anyone else). Nair or bleach also sound like good options, though.

I have the same problem. I just shave it. It really doesn't grow in darker or thicker. Plus when I go out in the sun, if its growing back a little bit, it just turns blonde. So its not noticeable.
