Agreed with Morgan, the e.l.f kabuki brush is the softest brush I've ever felt I love it.

First of all, don't apologize! There's absolutely nothing wrong with not knowing what MAC is. I honestly don't recommend MAC. I recommend elf. They're brushes are the only ones I use.

Wow thinking its a joke was a little rude.. Haha! I personally think MAC is overpriced. I love sigma brushes, Eco Tools, and some Elf ones. I'd go to a beauty store like Ulta ( they're having a sale on brushes!) and pick ones that tickle your fancy. That way you're not investing too much in something you have no idea how to use, and you'll be picking first hand which is much different than online :) have fun!

Great brand a little pricey if your just starting off try buying a little brush set from coastal scents cosmetics, elf cosmetics, bh cosmetic, real techniques, eBay, sigma, Sedona lace, :)

I haven't personally used any MAC brushes but have heard great things about it. I started off using Sigma brushes which were decent and affordable but have switched to the beauty blender now. Like Vanessa said, if you're starting off there are cheaper alternatives which work well.

Watch out some of them might be fake mac brushes.

Mac is really good, I have a bunch of sample brushes from when my mother worked as a makeup artist;)

MAC is good, but they aren't the only good brush company out there. Crown brushes are supposed to be good, Sigma brushes are great (and come in sets which make things easy and are cheaper then MAC brushes), and Coastal Scents brushes are good as well.

Mac brushes are nice but expensive. I love my elf brushes and they are 1-3 $ you can find them at target
