White stretch marks :'(

As being a mixed race girl my white stretch marks are really Noticeable.. So I was wondering what would help get rid or fade the colour of them?? Please help.

I've heard that Rubbing Vaseline (Petroleum Jelly) on the stretch marks reduces their appearance if you rub it on every morning and night.
