Hey love :) first, let me ask.. What skin type do you have? And do you exfoliate + moisturize? Most of the time this type of thing is the cause of a lack In something pertaining to the skin in its self and rarely the actual foundation or other products used unless you are using too much or the product just isn't right for your skin (for example, you may have dry skin but use something drying which creates a flakey appearance or maybe you have oily skin and use a product which is not ideal for the skin type)

You ladies are right! Haha I guess I'm not too savvy on this topic because I've never really experienced this myself unless I'm in a rush and apply too much product! Great advice from y'all :) as a final note, I think using a stippling brush to apply your foundation would help a lot! It creates a really flawless canvas and helps you evenly apply your makeup :) try sigmas flat kabuki brush

I stopped using setting powder all together. This helped my particular caking problem. I use setting spray instead. But I used to cake a lot when I used powder.
