Hi! Does anyone have any good eye shadow base/primer recommendations? i finally realize that I need to invest in something that stays. I don't have one right now, so I use my benefit under eye concealer (salmon) on my eyelid to have something there for the eye shadow to stick to. I want to be able to maintain the pigmentation/smoothness the entire day without creasing. Everything I have used so far creases too.

I use the Urban Decay Primer Potion (original). I have really oily lids and this primer helps my eye makeup stay on all day. Another thing you can do is to powder your eyelid before applying primer.

You can't go wrong with Too Faced or Urban Decay. Both are quality products and a little bit goes a long long way.

I've tried many, and I wouldn't say my eyelids are oily. I have a terrible time doing a good blend on top of the Too Faced Shadow Insurance. The Urban Decay Primer Potion is ok. I get the best results with Lancome Aquatique (staying power and blend). I've tried ELF, it's ok in a pinch (great for travel, it;s cheap, you don't have to worry if you lose it).

I personally love Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Doesn't crease, and it really does help your shadows to last all day.

Urban Decay has got to be the best primer, but I would also recommend Mac's Painterly Paint Pot. It can be worn alone or as a base for your eyeshadow.

I feel like the only person who doesn't love UD Primer Potion, lol...I mean, the color of the shadows I use definitely pop more when I use it, but I notice that it doesn't help much with creasing. I like to use a concealer on my lids and then I use my Michael Todd Long Lasting creme shadow in Nude.
