What is a primer? What does it look like? Is it a spray or a bottle like foundation? And what's the best one for oily skin?

A primer usually comes in a squeeze bottle, kinda like some BB creams. I love the loreal revitalift primer! It controls oil and gives a nice base for my foundation.

A primer is what you put on before you put on any makeup. it makes your makeup last longer and look better. foundation primer; you put on a foundation primer before putting on any face makeup. there's are usually in the form of a jelly type makeup. they are also clear, skin colored, or white. some primers are porefessionals by benefit, smashbox camera ready primers, Loreal revital lift primer.
eye primer; eye shadow primers go on your eyelid. this makes your eye colors pop, become more vibrant, and stay longer. some primers are in tubes and a liquid. some other primers are paint pots, which is a mate color applied to your eyelid that hids any veins and makes your eyeshadow pop. you can also use concealer for your "paint pot." elf also has an amazing eye lid primer for $1 and I love it.
eyelash primer; not very popular, but eyelash primer makes your mascara stay on. UD has an eyelash primer, but it can sometimes make your eyelashes turn gray. I don't use one, I just curl my lashes.
there are no "primers" for lips, but you can put on a lip stain before applying any lip color.
