So everyday I wear some sort of smokey eye, because I'm comfortable with how I look with one. Whenever I try to do a more natural eye and a bold lip I feel really awkward, like I'm not myself. People will compliment both looks, I'm just more comfortable and feel complete with a smokey eye. Any tips on getting more comfortable with new looks? Does anyone else feel this way?

I had that problem too. What I did was when I wasn't going anywhere, I didn't wear eye makeup. I would look in the mirror and try too get comfortable with no eye makeup whatsoever. Also, I would do natural looks as practice and I would take pics and look in the mirror a lot. It helped me get comfortable. I hope this helps.

I took a picture one day with less makeup and I felt like I looked younger

I think you look great. It takes time to get used too it. Trust me, but now I love doing natural eyes with bold lip. Just take it slow. What I did is this:
Instead of black eye shadow for the crease, try dark brown and then a lighter one after that. Instead of false lashes, try your natural lashes. Instead of bold black liner in the waterline, (which was the hardest for me) try brown or instead of putting it all over the waterline, try only the outside part of the waterline. I honestly hope this helps. :) but again you look great

I had the same problem as you. I prefer my eyes being bold and my lips to complement my eyes. at first I was super blah about my natural look with bold lips because it feels so different, but then I forced myself to do it more often and slowly learned to appreciate it. I like it now, but a bold eye is still my go to look :P. I can't imagine this helped but good luck!!

Thank you ladies! I thought it was just me because most ladies seem to rock all different looks. I think what makes me feel awkward is my eyes are so dark and kinda plain so when I don't play them up I just look blah. I think I just look washed out
