I want to dye my hair burgundy without having to bleach it. it is currently brown, so have any of you dyed it like this without bleaching first?

You can but it will still have brown in it. I dyed my hair that color and had dark brown hair to start with. It still looks brown but in the sun looks purple and red.

What kind of hair dye did you use? I know they have some specifically for dark hair but the bottles are really small

I used 2 boxes of the Revlon Colorsilk in burgundy. I had dark brown hair and did not bleach it. My hair turned out really nice. Outside it was very bright and indoors it was a bit darker but still obviously burgundy.
