Lay off eye makeup for a while and see if it improves! I'd also check your makeup for any fragrance in it.

Also just try to rinse your eyes out with warm water.

Actually Lol it doesn't improve without it just gets worse with. does it say in the ingredients if there's fragrance? never knew they fragrance eye shadows liners n mascaras...

Thanks... I'll try that but water seems like that would irritate more. I use eye drops all day long for irritated eyes too. Bausch and Lomb brand.

It should be listed in the ingredients just as fragrance. My dermatologist recommended Neutrogena to me for sensitive skin a while ago. I'd see if certain brands make your eyes more irritated than others.

I agree with Em! I have the same problem with eye makeup & those brands work great. I also love The Body Shop's eyeliners.
What makeup remover are you using? That could also irritate your eyes. I use aqueous cream as a remover, it gets all of the makeup while being very gentle & moisturizing.

My eyes do the same thing, but it's due to seasonal allergies. The eye drops can actually make it worse because they cause the veins in your eyes to constrict, and they will "rebound" and swell more if you use the eye drops too much.

Its prolly bc you apply liner to your waterline.

Thanks everyone. I actually only apply liner to my water line 2 out of every 7 days... so I don't think that's the main cause but thanks @dina!

@Darci I don't have seasonal allergies and I'm only applying eye drops every few hours not constantly. although I have been told by my opthalmologist I do have naturally dry eyes so I have to keep them wetted somehow :)

Lack of sleep or it could be you don't blink all the way. I once complained to my opthamologist that my eyes are always dry and she took a look and said I don't blink all the way.
