I get a keratin straightening treatment every 6 months cuz I have curly hair and I reallly love it!! and same thing doesn't hold curls but I don't care cuz I love it straight :p that's why I got it done in the first place right ;)

Uhm bc it chemically changed the structure of your hair it won't hold a curl. I could explain it in detail but probably loose you in the process of all the chemistry talk and such lol.

No shelby I fully understand that the formaldehyde and sodium hydroxide in the smoothing system breaks down the bonds and loosens the curls, the protein coats the hair and penetrates the cuticle thus sealing it and making it lay flat. its just that I didn't think it would be that effective lol.

Melissa no hun, I hate the organix line for myself personally, although there hair mask is very good! only thing I like by them. I had it done on stage at the international hair show in nyc, I was ask to be the model for the product, purw Brazilian is the line.
