I just brought a curling wand today and I curled all my hair and hair sprayed each bit after I curled it and it looks great but then my hair has just slowly gone wavey, I really want to curl my hair for my school formal and I want it to stay curly, any tips? Also would a curling mousse sorta thing help keep the curl?

After you curl it, scrunch it and pin it down or keep it in your hand until the hair is cooled. Also, second or third day hair tends to hold a curl better than freshly washed, the oils will keep it in shape. :)

So the clipping it up really works? I thought it was just to keep the rest of the hair out of the way haha.

I don't know if this works for everyone but I've found that the curls last all day if you do them with a straightener

I agree with vanessa!! Dirty hair holds curl better than clean hair, also pinning it would help it stay longer.

You need to prep your hair when you dry it - if you have finer hair, get yourself a body mousse with a bit of hold and layer into the hair. Pinning the curls and allowing them to cool means they will set in that state and should in theory last longer. Good luck for your formal!
