Hey Ladies,
I am extremely new to makeup and wanna start buying now. Please tell what a beginner should own. I like natural looking makeup only. Please tell me about both products and tools. I would prefer to buy from amazon and brand names are welcomed. Thank You. xoxo

I started with professional products like Mac cosmetics. Go to a makeup counter and ask for a makeover. It will help you get an idea if you like the products.

Lauren Conrad's book "Beauty" is really great for people who like makeup but are new to it, it will help you out a lot!

I like Tallia's suggestion on going to a makeup counter to get ideas, tips and tricks on applying makeup and which products to use. I also started with MAC however if you are going to build your kit, Mac can be pretty pricey. Sephora or Ulta will be your best bet on building your kit (the naked pallets by urban decay are really good! Lots of variety and high pigmentation). Also, if you are going to a counter, tell them you're going for a natural look. In my experience, the Mac girls loved to cake the makeup on me which I didn't like.

Don't be shy! It's the best way to learn abou the products and how to apply them. Plus they can recommend the best shades that go with your skin. If you are still a beginner, I think a bb cream or tinted moisturizer would be best, then set with a setting powder. Get some bronzer, blush, and eyeliner to accentuate your eyes. Also look into brow powders or pencils for your eyebrows. Don't forget mascara! This is my daily routine, and is fairly simple.

Pickup magazines books or pickup samples of things. Wear what you want to wear don't rush the process. Just try to find what you like and keep it simple.

Yes, Mookey is soooo right. you need to know the basics with beginner friendly makeup and prices. believe it or not, a lot of drugstore makeup is better than high end.
