I can honestly say I feel WAY more confident with makeup on sadly. I can go places without makeup but if there is a chance I may see someone I actually know I do put on at least mascara. I'm trying to feel more confident without it but with all the superficiality in the world it's hard to go out looking completely bare since everyone else looks perfect.

Basically, about a year and a half ago I had a concussion. I've had migraines ever since. This prevents me from going to school and doing a lot of stuff with other kids my age.
This is how this relates. I used to be crazy self conscious, never went anywhere without make-up. Because of my migraines I can't always put on make-up before a doctors appt. or something. This has really helped me be more confident in my own skin, now I appreciate my own unique natural beauty more and can use that to my advantage.

I have always been lucky that I never felt I needed makeup on to feel better about myself. I go out in public just as much with makeup on as I do all natural. I do tend to wear a tinted moisturizer mostly for the spf in it. I enjoy makeup as some other people on here has said, it is fun like a art form. I feel accomplishment when I master just the look I wanted, or try new things, but don't feel I need it for anything other then entertainment. :-) So far both of my daughters feel the same, and I hope it stays that way!

I never wear makeup on a daily basis, I go to an all-girls school, but even on weekends, there are days when I just don't feel like putting makeup on. I am fortunate to have really good skin, so as long as I get enough sleep and drink enough water, I have no problem going bare-faced.

This is an interesting topic :) I wear make up not really as a security blanket but just to enhance my features.. It's not the end of the world for me if I go out w/o any make up on lol

I wear makeup on a daily basis. It's not that I have self esteem issues or whatever. It's just that I like looking polished and I feel the need to present myself in a certain way. I wake up insanely early in the morning because I need to wear makeup to college and my classes start pretty early.
“I don't understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little - if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that's the day she has a date with destiny. And it's best to be as pretty as possible for destiny.” -Coco Chanel
I wear makeup, that's how I fix myself.

I love makeup because it's so fun and you can create many looks with it. It's also a confidence booster... I don't feel I need it all the time but it does make me look more alive and professional in a work environment. If I had nicer skin and naturally thick brows I wouldn't often keep maintaining them but obviously we're not all blessed with those features. makeup should enhance your beauty but nowadays its also a form of self expression and I feel there is nothing wrong with that.
