I honestly consider coconut oil to be better for your hair and do more for your hair, but both are good, there's no denying that. You can also get and use both, as I have an oils mixture for my hair with about 3 or 5 different types of oils and my hair loves it. I don't know if castor oil can be found at regular beauty supply stores (Sally's) but I do know it is almost a guaranteed find at black beauty supply stores like KC Beauty Mart. It shouldn't be all that expensive unless you get black castor oil, that can run from $10-$15 a bottle depending on where you get it. Coconut oil you can get at most food stores honestly. Both can be found on Amazon though.
