My hair faded in just washes. So what kind if. Bright red would do you lovely ladies use. That doesn't cost to much. The foam dye doesn't work. Either does cream dye. Has anyone tried this color by ion I heard its suppose to be good. I know I need red shampoo an etc. but I need a dye that won't fade in two washes.

I tried this just for my bangs and I liked the color. It held on between washes.

I used some kinda dye from garnier and it came out in washes. Left my hair a pink and orange color. I hope the ion dye works.

Try loreal hi color highlights. it works REALLY great and last. also you might want to look into getting a shampoo and conditioner that maintains your red color. this one is great vvv.

I use the Loreal Color Highlights in Magenta from Sally's and this is how my hair turns out. I love it! And it lasts fairly long. They also have a red one.

My hairstylist gave me a conditioner that had red dye in it so it would boost the color whenever I washed!

I used splat hair dye worked well, I used a good shampoo fot red hair. it made my hair dry! color did fade somewhat fast. I did add a bottle from sallys a red cherry. helped to bring the color back to love. over all hard color to maintain.

The riveting reds shampoo and conditioner contain henna in it, so instead use a sulfate free shampoo, cold water and roux refresh mask in fire red amd only wash 2x a week and use dry shampoo inbetween! no matter what red you do its going to fade, I would do permanent ion intense red (you can pick the darkness, the one thats a lever 6 or 7 is the brightest) and add some of the red hot intensifier and 20 volume developer and use the red ion semi permanent color to brighten it after a few weeks. since ion is a professional color it should last longer than garnier box color, but its also all in how you maintain it!

I had my hair red for a year and LOVED it. Got mine done in salon but the shampoo and conditioner I used totally made it fade. I used Bed Head for bright reds and brunettes. It was horrible, dried my hair out and made it fade. I even washed my hair every other day and washed it in cold water. I might be ready to try these colors out. Wonder how well they would go over a brown hair color (store bought)?

I've used splat before it didn't last long. I'll try the L'oreal color highlights.

Don't use a semi permanent color BC they wash out super fast. I used to have bright red hair and started off with a light bleach, and used loreal highlights for dark hair in magenta. when I noticed that it was fading it obviously started to look pinkish, but anything is better than orange so I went back to Sally's and got the loreal high lights in red and I must say...my hair looked fabulous! (or so I think I did lol)
