I was at Ulta today and there were few real techniques brushes left, I've never felt them so I don't know how soft they are but in the packaging some hairs looked longer than others a bit wonky, is that normal? Or do you think a bad batch was left?

Hmm, the ones I have are flawless and I have never had an issue with them. It may be a bad batch, or perhaps they got roughed up during the process of stocking them.

Urban Decay has super soft nice brushes. I am trying to find something comparable at a cheaper price, but sadly, brushes seem to be something that paying for quality is a must with. My mom got me a set of 8 brushes for like $10 at target, I forget the brand, it is like Sonia K... (or something like that), they are pretty nice for their price, but I really want to replace them since they aren't a cruelty-free brand and not sure if they are synthetic or not.
