When damp put mousse in your hair and scrunch it while blowing the hot air from a blow dryer and the heat should lock in the product into your hair.

Braid it when hair is very wet, when braid becomes damp rake it out then scrunch with your hands :)

If the braid does not work as soon as you get out of the shower put your hair in a knot. Be sure your hair has been completly air dried (not blow dried).
