You can always do both being a freelance stylist and working for a company is guaranteed money. So I say do both.

If you choose to go with the consultancy position... When they hire you, if you have to sign any contracts, make sure you read over them! Let them know that you do freelance styling and ask if there are any parts of your contract that prohibit that (or take a percentage of your profit). I've had a lot of fashion jobs, but none of them with a contract, but this kind of happened at my art school. I had to sign contracts saying any work I created while I was enrolled in their college was technically their property and they owned the rights (and any money I made off of it) to anything I created in classes AND outside of school in my own home/on my own time. I've heard of jobs doing similar things, so definitely disclose that you do outside work and if they prohibit it, definitely negotiate terms with them.
You can definitely manage both! You'll probably have a great time, get tons of experience, and find a lot of networking opportunities! Good luck, let us know how it goes and what you decide to do! =)
