I really want to dye my hair the seven colours of the rainbow but I don't know how or what to use. The only thing is it has to be something that won't wreck my hair. Thanks x

And why would you do this? not judging... just curious.

I depends on what you haircolor us now if your blond already you can just get the colors and do it. If your hair is a little darker you will have to prelighten your hair if you want the color to be bright.

I'm doing it because I love bright colours and my hair so...

You will probably have to bleach your hair or else the color won't be vibrant. It's going to wash out pretty quickly, and the constant dyeing and bleaching will ruin your hair.

Thanks anyway x would the ombré set work on the ends of my hair?

Like other girls have said, you'd have to bleach your hair which would kill it, and then on top of that, dye it. It would ruin your hair.

You will have to due them separately. Like wrap each coloured hair in foil. And wash them out individually or they will mix. I used manic panic and I wash in cold water and vinegar rinse then wash out. It's a lot of work.

You would have to bleach it first which would fry it. No offense. And then you would have to color it again. It wouldn't be the best for your hair. But I do like the rainbow hair. But in my opinion it would kill your hair unfortunately :-(

Cool! :D
If you're worried about damaging your hair, how about going to a salon? Bring your dye and it'll be cheaper! Follow up by using a shampoo/conditioner that's sulfate free etc. Don't wash your hair everyday, but if you do use cold water.(maybe invest in a dry shampoo if you haven't already.)
Good luck, Taylor! :D

Have you tried chalking? I've never done it but I think it works on unbleached hair and doesn't damage your hair- well not as much as bleach any way.

I agree with Hazel...have you tried hair chalking? Perhaps try that first before you do permanent color. Just a suggestion.

For me chalking only stayed in one day and was really messy
some semi-permanent dyes like manic panic work without lightening, just not as bright
you could also try kool-aid the red worked really well in my hair and lasted but not for too long

I did this awhile ago. I completely killed my hair from a bleach kit. That might be because I have very thick corse hair like pubic hair I swear! Haha but If I did it again I would go to a professional.

It is possible to do with out totally ruining your hair. But under no circumstances am I telling you to take this on by yourself. Go see a professional and get it done. I love having pink hair, and as with any Demi-permanent color it's going to be high maintenance, but if your willing to take care of it and up keep it, I say go for it!
