I know green tea is healthy and good for your skin and I drink it sometimes but I prefer the taste of coffee and the extra caffeine I was curious if it has any skin or health benefits as well? :p.

Here's an article from Scientific American. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?I'd=coffee-may-help-protect-a A 20-year-long study was done on the effects of coffee intake on the skin, and it found that women who drank 3+ cups a day were 21 percent less likely to develop basal cell carcinoma. I've also heard that coffee can decrease one's chances of getting heart disease.

Black/Pure Coffee, yes. Starbucks or coffee with creamer and the extra fattiness, probably not good.

Aleighnna hit it on the head. I worked in a coffee shop for three years and we learned all of the great benefits of coffee. :) Caffeine is a great remedy for redness or puffiness, because it acts as a vasoconstrictor. That is also why it is a slight pain reliever: it constricts the vessels and reduces inflammation. It can act as a laxative if you are having digestive issues. Some claim that it reduces cellulite, but there is no scientific proof. You can also use coffee grounds as an exfoliant. Ah coffee, wonderful gift from the gods. ;)

I've read that it is dehydrating, but I'm an iced coffee addict and my skin is just fine. Then again, I try to drink as much water as I can every day. :)
