Then again, coconut oil liquefies at body temperature anyway so perhaps it wouldn't make a difference :)

Tried it! 2 parts cherry red and 1 part bubblegum pink. Little daub on my cheeks too ;) I used coconut oil and it turned out fine. What a great idea, Angel!

I've seen this before onyoutube. its a cool idea, somehow putting crayons on my lips doesn't appeal to me :/ but I might just try it out!

Are you sure its safe to put crayon on your lips? I feel like all that wax would be bad if you ingested it

6000 kg of lipstick? Where did you get that idea? Also, the amount of lead is in such a minuscule amount that it's insignificant. most things with pigment (including the lipstick you've made) will have an extremely trace amount of lead (even if the source is biological.) It's natural, and nothing to be worried about. A lot of research has been done on the amount of lead found in many lipsticks, and it raises no current health concerns. If there's any updated research or concerns (as in research based on actual scientific evidence, through peer-edited reviews), then I'll update you guys. :)

@Rozberry Actually, mine stayed for a very long time. Through brushing my teeth, pouring rain, and eating. Sadly, I didn't have my girlfriend around to test kissing on.

@Mica Different things I have read online. And even if you don't agree with the philosophy of avoiding brand lipsticks for chemical based reasons, at least this provides a fun way to make unlimited colors and save some money in the wallet! (:

@Angel: Just be careful where you get your information. A lot of it is really based on fear-mongering with no facts. Check for creditable sources (the EWG is not a very good reference either.) And it's not that I don't agree with your philosophy (trust me I do), I just don't think people should limit their options or be scared of cosmetics based off of false information. And thanks for sharing this idea, the possibilities are truly unlimited with the different colors you can use. :)

Yes mine lasted through sleeping too... but was very easy to remove when I wanted :)!!
Another fun thing which I did by accident is use scented crayons!
