If your hair is naturally lighter, I'd go with the second one. If not, the first. I really like the second one though!!

If you have light skin the go lavender (I love it) and if your skin is darker do the dark purple!

Why don't you do both dark into lavender or the other way around? Conditioner will help from keeping the colors mixing into each other

It depends, I see the pale one on someone that wears lots of topshop and american apparel sorta clothes. Like "hipsterish". But the darker colour I see being worn with bright clothes. A younger sorta look.
