I have oily skin and always changing up my primer, moisturizer and foundation to look for something better to help reduce the oiliness..for others who have oily skin, what are some products in your makeup routine that you recommend? Really want to try new stuff that will work. Currently mine is: tea tree moisturizer by the body shop, hourglass mineral primer, nars matte foundation, hour glass setting powder and urban decay oil control setting spray.

I agree about the rice powder! Try using apple cider vinegar for a natural toner and raw honey for a natural mask (they have antibacterial properties and all kinds of good stuff for acne prone, oily skin). Moisturize with RMS Raw Coconut Cream. Replacing old products with these will drastically cut down the amount of bad ingredients going on your face! Also, milk of magnesia makes a great primer and keeps skin oil free for longer than anything else I've ever tried!

I use palmers cocoa formula moisturiser, then MUA oil balancing primer, then maybeline dream fresh bb on top, I use Simple oil balancing wipes to freshen up morning and evening. this way I find I don't end up using loads of heavy powders and stuff, and my face still looks and feels weightless, fresh and almost makeupless. I may try the new dream fresh bb for oily skin though, as I can still end up a bit shiny if its a really hot humid day (not really had any of those in England lately though!)

Chamomile tea rinse just using a tea bag and water. Naturally controls oil and cleanses at the same time! Makes my skin so soft afterwards.

I spray my toner on my face instead of wiping. It is my own blend of witch hazel with aloe vera gel and green tea extract.

No matter what I used I would always end up with such a shiny face after a few hours. Then I had a skin consultation with clinique (I'd only gone to buy mascara but had a spare 5 mins) Bought their travel size 3 step system suitable for my oily skin and I have never had a problem with the shiny mirror face I used to get. All of my stuff works like it should now, I use lanacane anti chafing gel for a primer and clinique even better foundation.
