I wear it and I like it. Your entitled to your own opinion, but if you are skilled and know how to work with the product you spend your money on I don't think it's right to bash their decision.

It just depends how you wear it or how much you put on.

I wear MAC as well as other brands that I like not just because of the hype. Lots of brands have the potential to look "fake" not just MAC. It's all about what tools you use to apply it & the technique. To each is own & everybody is entitled to their own opinion & the brands they like.

It doesn't depend on a specific brand, but on the techniques of application...You can apply too much makeup and still manage to look natural...and you can apply too little and still look fake.

I love my MAC products and have since they first started just like I love other brands. I agree with natise it's about technique and how you apply it! Hope one day your negative opinion on people who wear MAC will change ;)

To each there own. You can just as easily look 'fake' with anything from Sephora. It's all about technique. But judging people based on what they used is both superficial and rude.

I use mac lipstick and eye palette but not there makeup because it breaks me out and my shade is hard to match...I find mineral powder much better anyways because it looks more natural.

I havent been too impressed when I've tried their products especially for the price but I know pleanty of women who swear by their stuff and they look great :) I can guarantee that I'm in love with some products that others can't stand but what does that matter? the only time lables matter is with food lol.

You just have to know what to buy and how to apply it. I think most girls like it because they offer so many things and finishes. The eyeshadow range is vast, and the lipstick range is also very wide. I don't believe it makes you look nasty or cakey. Foundations like the face and body are incredibly natural.
You can have your opinion but Mac will continue to be a favorite among makeup artists and consumers alike.

The beauty about all of us is that we are all different. There is no one brand or one look thatll work for everyone. and the "fake" look is something that some girls prefer. just a matter of taste thats all.

My first MAC buy was the MAC pro foundation and I think it was definitely worth it. It stays put better than any other foundation and never looks 'fake' in my opinion.
I like in the UK and I can't easily get my hands on HD products.

It's application and technique just like what was mentioned and ALL makeup can look bad if you don't know what your doing,so many like to blame products but in fact it can be your routine or not finding the right one for your skin..Ingredients is part of the cosmetics world and it's a big guessing game what works best for you..Just like any other product. Do you know who Owns Mac? Estée Lauder owns: Aramis, Aveda, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, M.A.C, Origins, Jo Malone, La Mer, Tommy Hilfiger fragrances, Bumble + bumble, American Beauty, Flirt, Good Skin, Grassroots, Michael Kors Beauty, Darphin, Ojon, and Donna Karan Cosmetics....(Now who owns Sephora or MUFE?Louis Vuitton-Moet Hennessy (LVMH) owns: Dior, Guerlain, Givenchy, Benefit, Fresh, Make Up For Ever, and Sephora’s namesake line.I could go on with this lol but my point is No matter what is so called overrated it all ties together with any other product in their own group settings and Business. Mac happened to be initially specifically designed for professional make-up artists but are now sold to consumers to reach an audience by opening to major cities so everyone flocked to them and for some it's all they have known which was smart on MAC part and because of the high rise in makeup competition and demand (What do you know) BAM!! SEPHORA!! and they decided to branch out with their stores..and Because of that you get to Purchase your HD foundation :) SO Thanks Mac for your overrated products! :)

I personally hate mac because it is overrated thats what a lot of females only talk about I could care less if its time to any other brand, I'd rather get clinique, estee lauder or any other brand knowing its the same thing I'm just sick of it honestly no offense to anyone, I only own one mac product a eyeshadow and thats only cuz I couldn't find that color anywhere else everyone has their right to like and dislike anything and the right to have their opinion and speak their mind.

Lol @alma. I agree whole heartedly.
MAC is Makeup Artist Cosmetics. hence in the name, although its avail to the masses it takes some technique to apply properly.
MAC is a solid brand. n the price point is fine n my opinion. don't get me wrong. it adds up fast but if you compare the quality to other department store brands its quite cheap.. as with anything nothing is going to work for all. they have different hits n misses for all.

I do agree that Mac is a very overrated brand. To be honest I haven't really tried there products, except for their lipsticks which I love. I haven't tried their products for a couple reasons. First of all I have very sensitive skin and I've heard their products are very harsh on your skin. Their foundation actually bleached my friends face! Secondly I'm not too impressed with their prices. I like to get my moneys worth and I feel like most of their products are over priced when I use brands that have a comparable quality. Having said all this I could really care less if people wear it or not, it's their own choice on what they put on their body. Personally the brand isn't for me but I respect what they do and I've heard a lot of negative and positive things about Mac but that also applies to all other makeup brands. I say just wear what you want and who cares what others think.
