It damages your hair like all the other things we put/do to your hair but if you moisturize your hair often enough it shouldn't damage as much but make sure to use HEAT PROTECTANT and if your like me and you are trying to grow it out my best advice would be use as little to no heat. With saves me a lot of time bc I have very VERY thick and wavy hair.

Maybe once every 3 or 4 weeks I'll use a straightener. I don't even use a hairdryer any more, unless I'm in a rush. I like my hair how it is naturally and its so much better without all that heat!

I used to flat iron my hair everyday until my flat irons broke lol but I trying to wrap my hair more and let it air dry instead of using a lot of heat to see if my hair will grow more

I straighten my hair probably 1x a month, if that. It's usually because I want to curl my hair with flexi-rods or to trim my hair. I only wear my hair fully straight when I relax it which is every 6 months.
