I am tired of my nail polish always chipping, I've been using Rimmel and Topshop and although I love the colours the chipping is driving me mad! Looking for your recommendations please, for nail polishes that last about 4-5 days. Or top coat polishes. I can't do fake nails or the shellac polishes as I like keeping my nails nice and short. Thank you for any help!x

Thanks everyone, I must admit I never use a base coat or topcoat so suggestions for that would be good as I'm starting to realise I should use them to get the best out of my polishes. Think I'll try OPI first :)

Not sure if I can get sinful colours or wet and wild in the UK?

I second Wet n Wild megalast! I did my nails like 3 days ago and didnt put a top coat on and its still on! A little chipped off but I'm still shocked at how much is actually still on my nails from not puttin on a top coat!

Make sure you are cleaning your nails completely after nail polish remover or nothing will stay on no matter what. Also make sure you paint the top of your nail and the back if they're long enough. It seals them instead of making an open edge.

I use both top and base coat like a sandwich with the chosen color in the middle and if needed I use two layers of color-polish. ^^ Lasts really long!

Btw, I use one layer of basecoat and one layer of topcoat - you need patience, heh. ^^
