Currently, I have ipsy, but I've tried both. Ipsy has sent juice beauty, urban decay, and butter London, which are brands I like already and prefer. Birchbox had stuff I never used/liked/was allergic to.

I only get ipsy but I looked into a lot of these before ordering. the reviews I saw on birchbox were bad. some say things included in the box have been granola bars and sandwich bags! I've only had ipsy for a few months so far can't complain. I'd say ipsy gives more makeup then skin care.

I had both birchbox and ipsy, as well as beauty army. I ended up canceling beauty army and birchbox for the same reason stacyann did. I hardly ever used anything I got from them.. Rarely did I get actual makeup anyway, but what I did get either broke me out or dried me out, which is hard to do with my oily skin. Even if you get on a waiting list, I still say ipsy is better. I've been getting them since april I think and I don't have any complaints.
