I've used gels, sprays and a lot of other products in my hair to try to get that "beachy hair" look and nothing seems to work. It's so frustrating! I have thick hair and I wish I could just go for that natural look. Any advice/tips!? Xoxoxo.

I have the same problem, im hispanic so my hair is thick, and is long so its harder. What i do is just work some gel in when is wet, then i put it up with some clips and blow dry it just a little bit with a diffusser. It gives me volume and some wave.

I've been looking for the same thing! I read around and learned that when youre in the shower, put your conditioner in and as crazy as it sounds, brush your hair while your in the shower! Then when you get out, just towel dry it and put some gel in it. Try to find gel that doesnt leave your hair crunchy and rough feeling. "Scrunch" your hair a little with the gel and then just leave it alone. Touching it alot willl cause it to be frizzy! you could also just mix some sea salt and water and put that in your hair when you get out of the shower! Hope I could help :)

You should try braiding your hair before going to sleep, maybe adding a little bit of hair spray, and when you pull it out in the morning it should be wavy :) Hope this helps!

Shower or "wash hair" at night.... Spray a wave product on it and put it in a loose braid! When you wake up take out braid use a bigger barrel iron and curl big random curls on hair... Let cool, separate with fingers then hair spray! =)

Hi! Some days for school I would get really lazy. So after my shower in the morning I would put a little bit of leave in conditioner then I would blow dry my hair till it was about almost half dry but still really moist. Once I did that I would loosely French braid my hair and I would use big chunks. I would leave the braid in mu hair till it was time to leave which would usually be and 1 or more. Then I would take out he braid an it was a nice natural wavy look. And I wouldn't brush it I would use my finger to loose then braid an make the hair more natural. This works for me so I hope it helps you!

Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray will give you what you're looking for. It won't leave your hair feeling crunchy nor sticky. Just wash/shampoo your hair, spray this stuff on on and then braid your hair and when you wake up the morning unbraid , and you will have those beach waves. A g/f of mine swears by this stuff for her thin hair and swears that it gives her additional volume.

I also have pretty thick hair and have tried so many products and been let down. I bought these curling/waving wands from Sally's Beauty Supply and i was skeptical about them but i twisted my hair around them and then went to bed. When i woke up in the morning my hair at really beautiful curls and waves that looked really natural! I was shocked! They lasted all day and they didn't require any heat or hairspray so it wasn't damaging to my hair at all. They were only $7 and well worth it. I seriously LOVE them you should definitely try them! I'll have a tutorial on how to do them and the end result in a week or so :)

My hair used to natural have a wavy beach hair look to it, like I spent a day by the shore in the sand and the sea. However I think the matter was simply that my hair was dry/fried and had this major crunch factor. Sure, it looked good and I got many, many compliments but it wasn't healthy. Luckily I've grown y hair out and gotten all the deadness out, but my tips for replicating this look is to use Conair Spiral Rollers. They're these flexible, bendy foam sticks that resemble pool noodle floats. You wrap them in your hair wet, add some spray (I use Bumble and Bumble thickening spray), and take them out when you're done. You can wear them during the day or while you sleep, and each pack comes with two different thickness sized rollers, for tight or loose waves. Got mine at Target for $8. ;)

I simply wash and condition my hair then towel dry it, I then scrunch in herbal essence tousle me softly from root to tip. I then scrunch my hair with my hands from the bottom. then whilst it dries naturally (with no heat) I will scrunch it up occasionally. If I was to already have dry hair I would put water and my hands and scrunch my hair.... it's simple but it works for me, and if your looking for a neater look just use a curling wand to add some extra curls :) hope this helps you :)
