Might just be hormones and you can get acne from a bad diet,a foundation even if you do wash it off or even genetics maybe your moisturiser has oil in it thats breaking you out,its trial and error stop using a product that you think might be breaking you out/eating certain foods high in sugar and just see if its any of them if not go to the doctors and see.

It might be how little or late you sleep or what you eat also. I don't know how old you are, but it also just could be puberty. Sleeping right and now eating certain foods like chocolate, mangoes, etc. might help.

Only use cold water to wash your face. it calms your skin down and makes it less oily.

I would stop using the lotion a moisturizer. It actually makes the skin more oily.

No don't stop using moisturizer!! That's terrible advice to tell someone when they have acne!

I've dealt with extreme acne myself so I have lots of advice that comes from dermatologists, etc. So before I give you advice it would be best if you can tell me what type of acne you have. Where is it located? Are they cysts, blackheads, whiteheads, clogged pores (if you aren't sure, google 'types of acne'. It will give you descriptions and pictures of each so you can categorize what you have)? Do you have oily skin or dry? What products (by name) are you using right now? Sorry it's a lot to ask but I can give you a comprehensive program thing for you to use.

Yolande- no need to be rude.
Daisy- drinking soda DOES NOT help acne. In fact, it makes it worse. I'm not sure where on the Internet you found that fact but it is VERY wrong. Please do not post info unless you know for a fact it is backed up with truth.

Use face masks and tea tree oil. The ladies are right, acne can be genetic, stress and/or hormone related and there's not much you can do about that. Just have the right solutions to fix it when they do cone up. Benzoyl peroxide, found in many spot treatments (Clean & Clear's Persa Gel 5 is awesome) will fix cysts and whiteheads within days. Salicylic acid is harsher and can remove cysts and nodular/papular acne within 3-5 days. Just be sure to always follow up with a moisturizer.

I highly recommend Clean & Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser. It's 10% benzoyl peroxide. Works wonders on my skin, just moisturize afterwards because it can dry your skin out. :)
