I'm thinking about doing a 60 day juice cleanse - I recently watched a documentary called "fat sick and nearly dead" and it opened my eyes to the many benefits of juicing and am wondering if anyone has any helpful info!

Only juice for 60 days?? Doesn't really sound to healthy!! What about all the proteins an nutrition your are going to miss out on?

My mom did this. She is super skinny (all my friends say "your moms so skinny!") but I think she loved it. I almost tried it even though I'm like her. She said it was delicious but a challenge! Good luck beautiful!

Fruits and Vegetables are not a significant source of protein. They of course provide many other nutrients but you would still be missing a lot of things that your body needs to function properly. 60 days is definitely excessive. A 1 week cleanse would be a better choice and after that you can start incorporating it into a normal healthy diet.

It is a tough thing to do, cold turkey. It is wise to eat breakfast, and dinner (under 2,000 cals) and juice in between, as a snack. It keeps you full and you can begin to wean yourself off slowly. Good luck!

And you wouldn't just be juicing fruits and vegetables.. You can add anything you want to it... Spinach, hemp seeds, macca, protein powder, anything. I'd let your doc know youre at least doing it but its completely fine.

Although you would loose weight pretty quickly, I don't think it would be worth it in the long run :( eg lack of iron, protein etc. I think Hopes advice is great :) good luck xx

I'd first recommend getting the nutribullet.. It's a great juicer that doesn't separate the pulp from the juice, which is healthier, like most juicers do. They have some great recipes in the book it comes with to get you started depending on how comfortable you are trying different things!
