Its hard to keep up with the roots, sice you have brown hair. but to keep up with the pink, just put the pink in your conditioner for a refresher since the color is light to begin with! speaking from experience, its not that dammaging as long as you take care of it and don't over style or over bleach it.

You have to be aware that it is going to be a hassle it won't just be a one day process you have to bleach and tone your hair a lot to get it light enough to do that color you actually have to get it white. I dyed my hair that color once and it fryed my hair so bad.
