Can I Stop it before it gets bad??

I can feel 2 of those huge painful zits coming you can't see them yet but this always happens right before they appear so I was wondering if there's anything I can do to stop them before they show up?

Use astringent pads on the area.

Put ice on it and then toothpaste overnight.
