Starting I would get the top layer to the length that your fine with that isn't too short for you. Then cut it there so it's all one length and then work on the growing of your hair.

If you don't want to touch your hair period & just let it grow, some sort of braids like box braids or a weave. Putting all that heat in your hair won't do any good towards hair growth. Always keeping up with a hair regime will help as well.

Loose braids and buns! I usually braid my hair loosely and put a few drops of pro naturals argan oil in it to keep it moisturized.
