So I applied at Sephora the other day for a job and very unexpectedly got called in for an interview tomorrow!! I need help, I have no idea how to do my make up or what to wear, any other tips? This is my first actual job interview, so I'm a bit nervous. Also do any of you work at sephora? Do you like it there? Any help is appreciated =]

Your so lucky!I would say go all out with your makeup, show them your work and what you can do, wear black pants, wear your hair down loose voluminous curls or straighten or maybe even a tight clean bun..good luck!:)

Full face makeup, eyeshadow, bold lip, pull out all the stops that you got haha. Use your makeup skills to create something different (ex: a double winged liner, bold brows, contour, etc) to show off your skills. Think it through, don't just compile everything you know into one look haha. Look into what's in, what's modern, for both fashion and makeup. It helps to take inspiration from celebrities like Cara, Kate Moss, Rihanna, etc. to achieve something very stylish to set you apart. :)

If say dress professional, but not over the top. Same for your make up, you don't want to look so dramatic. But that's just my opinion. :)

I work for sephora and I honestly all that makeup is not nessecery. Remember less is more! They are really not intrested in if you can do flawless makeup or not, because you will learn I swear they will teach you! They are more intrested if you will be a great candidate for the store. I would say a great liner and maybe a bold lip to be fun... Oh and MASCARA because it what we sell the most and they will love it! (:

I talked with one of the managers at my store and they say no matter how much makeup a girl is wearing if the personality is not there you don't even get a second interview. I hope this helps! Good Luck its a great company!

Look clean, fresh, and excited. sephora sells skincare and fragrance as well as cosmetics so make sure your hair, skin, and nails look healthy. being a sephora product consultant is all about being there for and engaging with the client and having fun doing it. sales are huge, much more focus than on makeup skills. good luck and be happy, not nervous. I work at SiJCP as an operations consultant and I knew nothing about makeup when I was hired, but I'm driven focused and personable. just let your personality shine!

Yay thank you girls all so much =] I feel a lot better now about going in there! Symone I love the pic, I'm totally going to do my eyes like that now ^.^ but its good to know that I don't need a completely flawless face to still be hired!
