Is it just me or do you have that area around the innermost part of your lips that just WON't hold a lipcolor. I do and it drives me nuts. You can especially see it when I talk...

I wouldn't say it's only her.
I think I know what you're talking about, and it bugs me because it only happens sometimes with me. Do you use a primer before apply color?

It happens to me all the time :/ that's why I barley use lipstick..

I hate that too. I only use opaque lip colors because of that.

Iline and Tal, isn't it the most annoying thing ever?
And Erin, I usually just use Chapstick before I use lipstick to prevent drying. It's more noticable when I wear reds and especially dark lippies. I'm wearing MAC Diva right now and I'm so insecure. Lip liner doesn't even help. :-(

Angie, it seems to be more noticeable for me when I wear opaque colors! If I'm wearing a sheer or nude lipstick you can't see it.

It used to happen to me with certain lipsticks. I started using liner with reds and that helped majorly. And I put lots of Chapstick on while I do the rest of my makeup then wipe it off before I put my lipstick on. I found that helped me.

Happens to me too! I apply a clear, slightly sticky gloss before lipstick and that seems to help.

It happens to me when my lip starts to flake cause of the lipstick. I usually scrub my lips then put lipbalm or a lip liner under the lipstick. It usually stays on for longer. Hope that helps x

Use a lip scrub, and do your usual lip routine. Blot most of the color off on a napkin just to leave a stained effect then re-apply the lipstick. It happens to me but I don't think it's cause your lips are dry, you just hold more saliva as weird as it sounds on that certain area. I have that problem when I put on really bright lipsticks as well.

ALLLLLLLLL THE TIME. God it's so irritating! And I've tried using lip balm first, primer, etc. and nothing helps. :( Blahh hopefully I'll find a miracle product someday soon.

Glad to know this doesn't just happen to me! I think Mei is right, that that area of our lips just holds more saliva there. It feels "wetter" there. I'm going to try to start a more religious lip routine (scrubbing every other day, lip balm...) and see how this goes.
