Oh I use baby oil and olive oil, because they're the best at getting off makeup.
If you're worried about clogging the pores I suggest olive oil because its a natural oil so it won't break you oil. You can always dilute it with water and make sure you shake it up before applying

Make up remover is mostly oil... So for DIY I don't know what to tell you and why you wouldn't want oil. ( Oily skin and using oil has nothing to do with each other. )
