I recently dyed my hair a "cherry cola brown" but it didnt come out as maroon as I hoped my hair is still really healthy. would it be ok to go over it it with a more maroon color.

Yeah. just try to be very gentle with It and make sure it isn't verry abrasive to your hair.

Yeah I'd give it a little but than go over it again. Sometimes the hair the color the first time.
