Most of the time it's not formal too. My homecoming has a theme; jailbreak lol. Kind of lame,oh well. Anyways, I'd suggest casual makeup. I don't have pictures, but I wouldn't suggest red lipstick.. Too formal for me. However the pictures melanie suggested are great! (We have the same name lol) and with a red dress I'd recommend your daily makeup.

I'd suggest a smokey eye and a light pink/ nude lip. Smokey eyes will really bring attention to your face so it won't be lost against the color of the dress. I say pink or nude lip because you have to be very careful with red lips and a red dress because if it has a different undertone or is just a slight different shade in the wrong direction, it can go from looking awesome to looking overdone and yuck. You should keep the makeup simple and let the red dress do the talking :)
