Ok so I'm a bit lost I can't seem to get this look? I can't get it defined it almost looks a bit all smudged into one when I do it? What brushes would be good to create this and what is a really good black eyeshadow because they all seem to go on terrible? Any opinions and help are appreciated 💋

Its the gradient effect style, its opposite of the smokey..its light to dark.usually when doing certain styles you can make any look happen with tools you feel most comfortable with but some are a must to help you achieve a look.I use a flat shadow brush for the lid,I use a crease brush for the crease and a fluff brush to help blend and a contour eye brush to help fade it with a transition color to the brow bone area.

I use a piece of scotch tape help me get a crisp line. I always use a Mac paint pot, it makes the shadows go on smooth and true to swatch.
