Or live in Miami where your brown hair will turn blonde. Any tips for keeping it dark? My hair is pitch black but Miami sun likes to turn my hair into a light brown with red glare for some reason.

@Kitty, lots of hair sprays and other products contain UV protectants in them, just have to read the label :) don't quote me but I'm 90% sure Biolage color care shampoo and conditioner contains you've protectants.

@Rachel I do not use any hair care products ( For about almost two years. ). My beauty supply is almost all homemade. The sun here is very strong so unfortunately it brightens my hair and gives me a tan.

Kitty, maybe buy a good blue black dye and leave it on longer than you usually would, I found when I had black hair only blue black wouldn't fade.

I lived in Orlando and dyed my hair blue/black and the Florida sun will fade that too. It's pretty intense. I don't know how to reverse the natural bleaching of the sun
